The Light of You

The light of your eyes,
Drives out all the darkness,
Illuminating my life,
Is your overwhelming tenderness

The light of your smile,
Brings me joy so profound,
To know I’m so loved,
With laughter’s beautiful sound

The light of your touch,
Always brings me to my knees,
Seeking your loving caress,
As summer does a cool breeze

The light of your heart,
Shows what God allows to be,
The purity of his love,
By bringing together you and me

The light of your soul,
Drives the shadows away,
You are the everlasting beacon,
That I follow every single day

My love for you shall never surrender,
For you are the light of my life.
