FREE ASSESSMENT

Ok... so I had my free assessment at the gym yesterday. Some numbers I was already aware of but some aren't bad at all...

I stepped on the scale and of course it read 213 with my height of 5' 6", that gives me a BMI of 34.4 which is in the obese class I. I had already known that.

Cardiovascular - Max VO2 number is 31.2 which is in the fair range. I knew I had troubles as that is one of my goals. The higher I can increase this number, the more calories I will burn - bye bye fat!

Bicep Strength is 53 which is in the average range - thanks to three boys that like to be picked up!

Sit and Reach - tests my flexibility - number is 13.8 which is in the fair range. I had always considered myself flexible but this number proves otherwise. She said most people are actually in the poor range (which Chad is also in... he he he).

Body Composition - 48.3 which is very high... I'll get that down as I increase my cardiovascular and lose some fatty tissue.

Overall Fitness - 40 which is the borderline for fair and average... not bad for just getting back to exercising.

I have a free one hour session with the personal trainer on Tuesday afternoon. She will give me some tips and show me some things to do. I'm also going to look at the aerobic programs they have.

You have your starting point now. From here on out, it's all about making forward progress. It will take time...but you will do it!

I didn't like my assessment. ;>) I was shocked at how high my body fat was but learned to accept it. LOL

Sounds like a great time! Just like Chad said, it will take time, as does making progress on anything else, and you are going to do awesome!

Keep it up!
