SORE!

Well, I had my first one hour with the personal trainer on Tuesday. I was REALLY sore yesterday afternoon and it was difficult walking up the stairs - as by last night I was close to tears. Today, it is an overall soreness. It is actually a little easier getting into the seated position as I'm not wincing in pain - especially when you have to use the restroom - ouch! I have my second visit with the personal trainer tomorrow so hopefully I won't be as sore after that. I am fully aware that in the beginning I will have soreness. But my muscles haven't been trained like that in a long time. I had a personal trainer about six years ago, then I found out we were pregnant so I decreased my workouts. Then the morning sickness began and I stopped completely. Until recently, I just haven't had the time to really focus on my fitness.

I have reached an ultimate low with myself. I guess I reached it a while ago but just didn't want to admit it. Ever since I started walking again, I have felt so much better about myself. My clothes are already fitting differently. I know that I can't expect immediate results. It took me a long time to get to where I was, it will take a while to get to my final goal. So I will be setting small goals for myself. My first goal is lose ten pounds (the amount of weight I still have on from Christopher's pregnancy). Then I will work on the next ten (which is the amount I gained from the twins' pregnancy - I actually gained twenty during the first six months but I lost ten right after they were born).

I just thought you were 'sore' at me. LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!

Anyway, I know you can do it and you will do it. The soreness will pass, but the feeling of accomplishment when you reach your goal will last forever.

Sounds like your time with your trainer was successful! Remember, that is a good sore! :)

You're right... small goals... that is the way to go! :)
